Yarn amount roll call

So, I went a wee bit nuts over the last semester and I have a lot of yarn that needs to be knit up. I have about 18 million lists that tell me what I have and where it is and all that other good stuff, but I figured it was time to put it somewhere that made, well... sense.

  • 20 skeins of silver-grey Shibu (purchased from Little Knits)
    • Plan: Simple Knitted Bodice and a tank
  • 10 skeins of light lilac Shibu (Little Knits)
    • Plan: ummm... Drop stitch tank from Fitted Knits (?)
  • 10 skeins of caramel Shibu (Elann)
    • Plan: Annie Modiset's Corset Pullover
  • 14 skeins of Oatmeal Alpaca Silk (KnitPicks)
    • Original plan: Henley Perfected. New plan: Kimono wrap sweater
  • 10 skeins Hydrangea Shine Sport (KnitPicks)
    • Plan: currently OTN as a modified Ballet Camisole
  • 8 skeins cinnamon Merino Style (KnitPicks)
  • 7 skeins petal Merino Style (KnitPicks)
    • Original Plan: the above two were supposed to become the Deep V Argyle Vest. (The colors are not happy together in that way.) New plan: Fibertrends Felted Slippers.
  • 1 skein blue/green Trenna (Little Knits)
    • Plan: leaning toward the Bleeding Heart Stole in Spring 07 IK.
  • 10 skeins linen-colored hemp (Elann)
  • ?? skeins blue heathered acrylic
  • ?? skeins pink heathered acrylic
    • I think these two are going to be turned into a blanket or an afghan of some sort. I was originally thinking entrelac, but now I'm leaning toward a feather and fan strip blanket.
  • ?? skeins autumn red acrylic
    • This was going to be a modified Tubey and then I realized I look rubbish in ribbing. Maybe a wash-and-wear SKB?
  • 6 skeins Cobalt Bamboo (SWTC)
    • I have to admit, I'm leaning toward Intolerable Cruelty with this one. Basically a step up from a jean skirt.
  • 6 skeins Jade Bamboo (SWTC)
    • This is turning into a Lotus Blossom Tank... Slowly
  • 5 skeins of fuzzy Crystal Palace laceweight
    • This is going to be an Icarus Shawl. When I have time to concentrate on it.
  • 3 skeins of white Cotton Fleece
    • Adipose? Maybe also a yoga bag?
  • Sock yarn for YEARS.
    • I should knit more socks.
  • Various other yarns to be added later.
But in the "omg, Lise has made progress?!" camp, I swatched a bunch of short row methods and once I'm done with paper writing HELL, I will be happy to share those and my thoughts on them. The Bust Line on Ravelry has already expressed an interest in what I came up with. I now have to make the in-the-round swatches, which will happen after the semester is over, most like.

I just have to finish the neck on Sahara mk 2.

Sizzle is blocking and waiting for me to seam and finish the neck and arm details. I'm debating on putting short-row sleeves in ala Sahara.

The front is done for my reconstructed Ballet Camisole. Now to find the notes so I can replicate the back.

I need to frog the following: Rogue, North Roe, and the purple SKB.

Birch is coming along SLOWLY. I think part of it is that I've just lost steam on that much lacework. It may be my London project for train travel. Easy pattern to remember, but not quite boring enough for TV knitting.
